How to Share a Project?

First of all, the person you want to share your project with has to already be using Tasknik. The second thing is that the person has to be added as your contact. You can do that in a matter of seconds. In the upper left corner, there is a brand new button that says “Add a Contact”.

Click it and a pop-up appears.

Enter the email address of the person you want to add as your contact and choose “Add Contact”. Once you’ve done that, the email is listed below the “Add a Contact” button. But mind you, only when the person accepts you invitation, the email changes into the person’s actual name and that is also when you are able to share projects with him or her.

Once the person is listed as your contact, you can share a project by checking out the details section of the project you want to share and find the sharing section there. If you aren’t sharing the project yet, it says “Not shared”.

After this you simply choose the names of the people you want to share your project with from the “Contacts” column. For removing someone from the project, the procedure is quite the same. You just click on their name in the right column, “Project Members”, and the contact is removed.

Also, all projects that you are sharing with other people are marked with this icon
The projects that are not yours but shared with you by someone else are marked with this icon
The same small cloud can also be seen next to those tasks that were not created by you, but by someone you are sharing a project with.
